GST_TRANSACTION_TYPE

GST_TRANSACTION_TYPE shows a static list of transaction types supported by the MMS.

GST_TRANSACTION_TYPE data is public to all participants.

TRANSACTION_TYPE

The transaction type

This column is mandatory, and a primary key.

DESCRIPTION

Description of the transaction type

This column is not mandatory.

  • Additional IT Services
  • Administered Price Cap Payments
  • Administered Price Cap Recovery
  • Affected Participant Negative Provisional Compensation (eligible persons)
  • Affected Participant Negative net Final Determination Compensation (eligible persons)
  • Affected Participant Provisional Compensation (eligible persons)
  • Affected Participant Provisional Compensation (excepting eligible persons)
  • Affected Participant net Final Determination Compensation (eligible persons)

LASTCHANGED

Last date and time the record changed

Polars

Casting is enums, categoricals etc is not essential, but may speed up parsing. Swapping int for pl.UInt16, pl.Int32 would also speed up parsing. However some of the datatypes are inferred, so they may be wrong.

This code deduplicates for you. Deduplication is normally only required across multiple months.

This code assumes that all columns are present, which may not be true for older files.

Each year of data is approximately 41 KB when zipped, 406 KB as unzipped CSV.

You should deduplicate by sorting based on LASTCHANGED, within each group of primary keys.
