Datetime the file was published by VDS - Versions differ from Run_DateTime only for Supplemental runs

EST_EXPIRY

Estimated expiry time of current Instruction set

SQL Type: DATE Polars Type: pl.Datetime()

EST_NEXT_INSTRUCTION

Estimated issue time of next Instruction set

SQL Type: DATE Polars Type: pl.Datetime()

This column is not mandatory.

FILE_TYPE

Either 'SIGNAL' (childless) or 'INSTRUCTION'

The SQL type is VARCHAR2(20). This is actually a factor/enum, with values:

  • SIGNAL

  • INSTRUCTION

This column is not mandatory.

OPERATING_MODE

The current VDS operating mode. Valid values: AUTO, AUTO-VERFIED, MANUAL

The SQL type is VARCHAR2(60). This is actually a factor/enum, with values:

  • AUTO

  • AUTO-VERIFIED

  • MANUAL

This column is not mandatory.

OPERATING_STATUS

Unstructured code and message from AEMO

SE_DATETIME

State Estimator start time, when a snapshot is taken of SCADA values

SOLUTION_CATEGORY

VDS solver solution category. Valid values: SUCCESS, WARNING, FAILURE

The SQL type is VARCHAR2(60). This is actually a factor/enum, with values:

  • NONE [No flag set]

  • SUCCESS [solution succeeded]

  • WARNING [solution completed with warnings]

  • FAILURE

This column is not mandatory.

SOLUTION_STATUS

VDS solver solution status. Valid values: NOACTCNV [Solved with no instructions], NOVIOACT, CONVERGE, UNMANAGE, UNMANCTG, CTGDIV, SENHDIV [Failed with too many violations], BCDIV

SQL Type: VARCHAR2(60) Polars Type: pl.Categorical

This column is not mandatory.

Examples:

  • CONVERGE [Solved with no violations]
  • CTGDIV [1 or more CTGs diverged]

Polars

Casting is enums, categoricals etc is not essential, but may speed up parsing. Swapping int for pl.UInt16, pl.Int32 would also speed up parsing. However some of the datatypes are inferred, so they may be wrong.

This code deduplicates for you. Deduplication is normally only required across multiple months.

This code assumes that all columns are present, which may not be true for older files.
